Meet Jaxon | Newnan, Ga Newborn Photographer

Oh! I am so excited over Jaxon's adventurous newborn photos.  I love them all!  Working with this family has been such a delight and really they are a photographer's dream come true.

Jaxon comes from a high flying family.  He had a baby shower done in an airplane theme and has a sweet aviation theme nursery at home.  So its only fitting that we do his newborn photos at the airport!

I love switching it up and trying something new.  Safe to say these are the biggest newborn props I have ever used.

His sweet little hat was knitted by his aunt.

Someone isn't the only baby anymore.

This awesome blanket was made by his aunt too.                  I love the colors!

Bathing in Sunlight | Senoia, Ga Children Photographer

"blessed are those who find beauty in humble places"

These are photos of my morning playing in the light & water with my littles.  I pray I always remember these small, fleeting moments.  When they are much older and on their way into the world- I hope photos like these give my future self some comfort.

I challenged myself earlier this year to put myself in my photographs.  I realized that I wasn't giving myself a place in our albums.  I think many moms forget to find a way to include themselves in their photos.  Not to say my kids won't remember me racing cars on the kitchen floor, reading a million bedtime stories, or running around the yard with them, but time does take away small details.  I want them to look back and see the joy washed over my face when I look at them... the gentle touch of my hand in their hair, all the "little things" that connect me to these two little people.

My favorite self portrait to date. Me, being their mommy.  I think this is where I am beautiful, this is where I shine.  Playing with my littles, loving them, sharing an abundance of joy and laughter.

GET IN FRONT OF YOUR CAMERA
- they made self timers for a reason -

Check out this blog post by Allison Tate - it may make you rethink hiding from the camera.  This made me cry, like ugly cry... This lady's words could be my own. I am definitely challenging myself this year. What a wonderful (and obtainable) resolution.

Birth | Welcome Jaxon | Newnan, Ga Birth Photographer

I am beyond excited to share Jaxon's entrance into the world.  Since I was pregnant with my first baby, I have been mesmerized by birth photography.  I can't even look through pinterest boards of birth photography without crying happy tears.  (That's why I can no longer look through birth photos on pinterest in Starbucks, people think I am nuts crying and smiling...) Of all the moments I photograph, this is my favorite.
I can't put into words how honored I am that Hailey & Scott chose me to capture the most memorable moment in their lives.
There is no experience like bringing your child into the world
and meeting them face to face for the first time.  Jaxon's mommy and daddy have a lot of love between them, and were such a strong duo through Hailey's labor.  She was a rockstar in there!

Little Jaxon just doesn't know how very much he is loved yet.  The room was filled with love the second he entered into it.
I cried all over again when the grandmas came in to meet Jaxon.  Hailey's mom ran in and made eye contact with her first.  She had to check on her baby.  You can just see the excitement and pride in their eyes.

Mr. Jaxon is 8 pounds 5 ounces of wonderful sweetness.
